Wonder if bringing in Hinske will allow the Yankees to trade Melky? They have a back up center fielder in AAA named Austin Jackson who imo could use MLB experience this season.

I don’t understand why Cody Ransom is on the team. Hinske is a better version of Ransom (fielding-wise, etc.).

This is another nice deal for the Yanks. They get a player who could be potentially useful for 2 guys who have virtually no shot at ever making the majors (at least as Yankees).
