Sorry I didn’t get around to a recap last night. Montero was 3 for 5 and 18 year-old Arodys Vizcaino, in SI’s opening day, struck out 7 and allowed 1 earned run in 4 1/3 innings.
And now onto tonight’s action
Scranton, Trenton, and Staten Island were all rained out.
Tampa was off because of the FSL All-Star game. Austin Romine went 0 for 1 for the North All-Stars.
Charleston defeats Savannah, 7-3
- Hector Noesi got the start, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits in 7 innings of work, striking out 7.
- Jose Pirela was 0 for 5, and was caught stealing.
- Ray Kruml was 3 for 5 with a triple.
- David Adams was 2 for 3 with 2 walks and a steal.
- Dan Brewer was 0 for 4 wtih a walk and a steal.
- Melky Mesa was 0 for 4 with a sac fly.
- Corban Joseph was 2 for 2 with 2 walks.
- Taylor Grote was 1 for 4.
- Mitch Abeita was 3 for 3 with a walk.
