After April filled with bad weather and lots of traveling on the road the Yanks have a nice long stretch with very little travel involved. After they wrap up this homestand tomorrow against Philly, they fly out to Cleveland, then head to Texas and that’s it. After those two series they have another 7 game homestand against Texas and Tampa Bay. Then a quick 3 game trip to Boston, and back home for another 6 games vs the Mets/Washington. They wrap up June with road trip to Florida, Atlanta, then wrap up Interleague play back in New York against the Mets.
Point being, they spend most of May and June either home or on the eastern seaboard with very little travel involved. We always hear players/media bitch about West Coast trips and how draining they are. If the cold weather and long road trips contributed to them flat in April, then they should be in position to gain ground over the next few weeks. No excuses anymore, we find out how good this team really is over the next few weeks.

Yeah, schedule is decent. I see no reason that they cant keep this up for a while, and then reinforcements will be here.
