Andrew’s night is done, and it wasn’t pretty. It started out well enough, striking out 2 men in the first inning. He rode along smoothly through the next two frames, giving up only a triple to Rome’s left fielder L.V. Ware, who scored on a sac fly. But then the wheels came off in the 4th. 2 wild pitches, 2 walks, Double, fielding errors by Brackman and Lassiter, 4 runs scored. Tack on another run in the 5th, and his final line isn’t pretty.

This is to be expected, he hasn’t pitched much and is still working his way back from Tommy John. This is a continuation of what he did in the Hawaiian winter league, so if you were looking for a step forward, you didn’t get one tonight.

Just let him get the innings in and develop arm strength.Doesn’t sound like he was getting bombed.

I agree if he makes the club at 24-25 and is ready I would be very pleased. I dont think Randy Johnson was in the big leagues until 25/26-y/o so I say let him polish his stuff and mechanics
