"Personally, I would prefer that the Yankees rotate their four corner outfielders and the winner of the center field job through the four available positions (CF, RF, LF, DH). That would give everybody about 130 games, assuming that nobody gets injured. This would allow the Yankees to keep all of these players healthy and productive. If Swisher does not bounce back, Nady or Damon regress, or Matsui gets hurt, they can always ditch the rotation scheme and go to a typical outfield alignment. Regardless, this seems like a good problem to have, as the Yankees are likely to always have one starting-caliber bat available on the bench."

Couldn't have said it any better. The idea that the Yanks have to trade one of Nady or Swisher because they're overlaoded with OFers is absurd. Aren't we always complaining that we don't have a good enough bench? Well a rotetion of all these guys would solve that and prevent injury, as U listed above. Keep 'em all Cash! (Unless, U know, the Braves or some other team gets desparate and offers some great young position player in return for Nady....)

Yeah, I would mix and match like that as well. I think the fact that Damon and Swisher can both play center means you can do a lot of maneuvering.

I'd have Swish in CF when Wang starts as well - no reason to worry about range in center when all the balls are hit on the ground.

I'm a huge Brett Gardner fan.
He plays CF with excitement and speed and has already shown a propensity for the big, CLUTCH hit.
Jeter is as good as it gets in covering up a weak CF arm (He protected Bernie for years) and Gardner can steal 40-50 BASES easily.
When he came back from the minors, he was a different player and hit over .320 the last 40 or so at bats.
