Pete Abraham caught up with Mariano Rivera today and, according to Rivera, he will be ready for the start of the season. Mo underwent surgery to have a bone spur removed from his shoulder during the offseason and is only scheduled to throw about 8 or 10 innings this spring (that’s all he usually needs).
Maybe we’ll see that elusive changeup in one of those outings?

Whitey Ford has won more WS games then anyone but…he has also lost more.
So is it surprising to see the great Mo give it up once in a while? No, because we all know, the more chances you have to be perfect, the more chances you have to make that bad pitch or throw to 2nd base.
This is no way a knock on Mo, just shows, he is not a god and can be like all of us mortals.

Mo is great but has been on the mound in MANY Yankee big losses. Not to acknowledge that is not to be realistic.
